Objective
OBJECTIVES
This project is the direct result of new European directives on occupational safety. Various social partners active in this area have joined forces with the aim of improving existing training tools by carrying out a transnational analysis of training requirements in this area. The plan is firstly to develop safety techniques complying with European standards, secondly to develop safety training modules for employees and employers which meet the requirements identified in several areas, and then to provide in-company training to teach trainers how to use the new data communications training tools so that they can back up individualised training with tutor support.
ACTIVITIES
The project will be implemented in four phases. Firstly, the partners will analyse requirements with regard to in-company occupational safety training. In the second phase they will produce training material which will optimally meet the requirements identified. They will then develop modules dedicated to the analysis of the risks which can occur at the workplace. Finally, they will distribute the modules created in the form of on-line training tools which can be used in open and distance training programmes.
PRODUCTS
Various training modules will be created. Manuals for trainers will be written, explaining how to use the new multimedia tools. These tools will then be adapted so that they can be used for self-training purposes.
