Guidance activities in local/community services

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The aim of the project is to analyse the training requirements emerging on the labour market with a view to improving vocational training in the local/community services sector (communal services, social services, leisure sector). Indeed, the skills which are needed for easy entry onto the labour market and the qualifications offered by training centres do not always correspond to one another. By analysing training requirements it will be possible to promote the entry, now and in the future, of young people undergoing training or induction, onto a job market where qualifications are becoming increasingly important.

ACTIVITIES
The project will be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, the partners will try to analyse the training requirements emerging in various sectors in their respective countries. For this purpose they will design a methodology which can be used to identify these requirements. They will then create training tools capable of meeting these requirements. Once these tools have been evaluated, they will be disseminated throughout the EU.

PRODUCTS
The partners intend to create materials capable of disseminating the information collected in the different sectors. Training modules based on the analysis of the training requirements in the local services sector will also be created and distributed throughout the countries of the EU.
