Objective
OBJECTIVES
With the aim of contributing to the development of continuing training via the work/training apprenticeship system, to the professional mobility of professional young people, and to thinking on the European status of apprenticeships, this project proposes to work on the development of a European Contract for professional qualification. At the end of the project, the partners wish to present a contractual framework which is satisfactory to the employer organisations and trade unions and which provides young people in apprenticeship training with the opportunity to acquire genuine complementary skills.
ACTIVITIES
The partners will commence by analysing the conditions under which young Europeans on placements are received and trained in SMEs and cottage industries. A survey will be carried out at SMEs, among the young people on placements at SMEs and the employees of SMEs. On the basis of this analysis, which will identify the weak points, strengths and best practices in this type of training, the instigators of the project will produce suitable contractual frameworks together with the social partners.
PRODUCTS
- Proposition of a contractual form for the reception of young Europeans in SMEs in the countries participating in the project.
- Production of technical documents for companies involved in or wishing to become involved in improving vocational training for young Europeans; for young professional people involved in placement schemes; for institutional operators responsible for preparing professional placement projects.
