On and Off the Job Training and Competence Needs

Objective

OBJECTIVES
The aim of the project is to bring initial and continuing training in the world of work into line so as to enable people looking for work to obtain improved access to the job market. This alignment will be supported by an analysis of the problem and by activities aimed at promoting good methodologies and practices concerning apprenticeship training, including sections such as the practical aspects of training placements, returning to training, combined training and employment measures. This is intended to enable the individuals concerned to access more appropriate curricula and to obtain improved guidance concerning the companies' requirements.

ACTIVITIES
Initially, significant experiences gained in this area in the partner countries involved in this project will be analysed and described. The data will be compared and on this basis a vademecum on apprenticeship training developed, which will be published in Italian and English. The results will be disseminated at an international seminar.
