Objective
OBJECTIVES
The effectiveness of local development programmes depends on the quality of the continuing training received by the people involved in planning. The objective of this project is thus to produce a series of training programmes which respond to the continuing training requirements for the strategic planning of local development.
ACTIVITIES
Initially, research will be carried out and data collected on local development. Then, a software programme allowing data to be updated continually and a method for the use of the software will be developed in the following areas: information management, planning and decision-making, planning administration, planning evaluation. Finally, a training methodology will be introduced and a marketing plan for the dissemination of the training material will be prepared.

Creation of conventional training materials corresponding to the training requirements of local development managers, particularly data analysis software.
