Objective
OBJECTIVES
On the basis of the results of a FORCE project, the current project aims to develop, test and disseminate a European multimedia system for the on-going professional training for adults - without adequate initial of professional training - working in the waste treatment sector. Up to now, in this sector, training programmes have not existed or have been very limited.
ACTIVITIES
A multimedia platform, already in existence and adapted for one-to-one training with tutorial back-up, will serve as the basis for the development of the course. Training specialists, in conjunction with new contractors, will define the content of the modules and adapt them to the prevailing situations in each of the partner countries. This programme will consist of three modules, which will cover basic knowledge relating to the handling and proper treatment of solid waste, environmental issues and personal protection, quality control and human resources management. Once the modules have been tested, they will be distributed, initially in Denmark, France, Ireland and Sweden and at a later stage in other English or French-speaking or Scandinavian countries.
