Objective
OBJECTIVES
Development agents face a series of problems in exercising their duties, including the following: the problem of acquiring and mastering the multiple skills required, isolation, defining their function and social and professional recognition. On the basis of this observation, the project offers three main objectives: firstly, increasing the knowledge and know-how of development agents in useful techniques in the successful conduct of their profession; secondly, ending their isolation (geographical, technical, methodological) and increasing their mobility by the creation of an active discussion and resource network for methodologies and techniques of local development. And, finally, seeking greater synergy between the measures implemented in support of development and strengthening the impact of public policy and local initiative.
ACTIVITIES
The partners will seek first of all, to identify the fundamental and cross-disciplinary techniques of the practices of development agents and will translate them in terms of project methodology. On the basis of this first phase, they will jointly develop training modules in regional development, which will be piloted and evaluated before being distributed. They will also create a schools network with a training and resource centre role.
PRODUCTS
Transnational training modules; new professional profiles; creation of schools network.
