Transnational network Leonardo Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland in technology transfer, mobility and training

Objective

OBJECTIVES
For the past few years, the Saar-Lor-Lux-Wallonie Euro-Region has been called upon to face major industrial restructuring in order to increase its economic competitiveness. For this reason, the project will seek to emphasise quality improvement and innovative capacity, and also to integrate the European dimension into training systems, especially in the areas of the environment, food production and key skills.

ACTIVITIES
In order to bring about its objectives, the project will put in place a regional network which places an emphasis on particular sectors. This network will disseminate results through a bulletin and organise placements and student exchanges. It will also create work groups, each of which takes an interest in specific fields, analyses training needs and promotes technological transfer by organising training modules. Finally, it will organise seminars for people within the region who express an interest.

PRODUCTS
- Links with other European regions strengthened by virtue, amongst other things, of the modernisation of transnational databases already up and running.
- Analysis of training needs.
- A training programme.
- Short courses.
- Training modules.
- Seminars for trainers.
