Objective
OBJECTIVES
As regards its international dimension, the tourism sector is characterised by a greater need for language skills by all those involved. It has been proved that for most professional fields, language qualification certificates with a practical emphasis are always lacking. To fill this gap, the project anticipates that directives and examination standards will be drawn up for vocational language training courses for different European languages.
ACTIVITIES
The partners intend to carry out an analysis first of all of language needs in the tourism sector. Secondly, the project provides for the development of prototype training modules and curricula. The project will close with a three-fold activity: preparation of seminars, examinations and assessment measures, 2 to 3-week exchange programmes.
PRODUCTS
- Language training modules and curricula specific to the tourism sector in German, Italian, French, English and Spanish.
