Objective
OBJECTIVES
In order to better prepare young people for the free movement of workers in Europe and to make their transition towards their first job easier, the project aims to improve the methods and content of the training programmes in the plumbing and heating engineering sector. In addition, it wishes to make young people aware of self-training and life-long learning, improve transparency as regards the content of their training and inform the partners about activities in the other Member States. Finally, it intends to strengthen the links and co-operation between initial and continuing vocational training, but also to improve vocational skills by raising the level of training programmes.
ACTIVITIES
The partners will together develop training modules directly linked to the heating and plumbing sector. These will be based on new teaching methods which will incorporate the new requirements on environmental protection. The project will also familiarise young people with the new media and the new communication and information technologies. It will encourage the establishment of regional networks comprising vocational colleges, training centres and enterprises, particularly for improving the quality of vocational training and the links between initial and continuing training.
