Objective
OBJECTIVES
In the multilingual EU, it is a question of understanding and being understood. The aim of this project is to develop self-training multimedia modules paying particular attention to the development of glossaries providing terms and technical procedures for mechanics. These multilingual glossaries will help remove language barriers, record differences in technical procedures in the various countries and encourage mobility in Europe.
ACTIVITIES
Training modules will be set up using predefined formats enabling the contents to be adapted and also translated into other languages. These predefined formats will enable pictures, text, video sounds and sequences to be incorporated to increase learning efficiency. The system of the predefined formats could serve as a model for other groups in the EU for creating multilingual self-training programmes on other subjects.
PRODUCTS
- Self-training modules for mechanical engineers with a Danish, German and English glossary of technical terms and procedures.
- System of predefined formats which will enable those concerned to set up further modules with different contents and languages.
