Objective
OBJECTIVES
The project intends to develop distance training and careers advice systems for people working in the industrial sector requiring specific training in automation and information technology. The partners will create educational software to accompany distance training systems, have them assessed nationally and will try and distribute them across the EU.
ACTIVITIES
To begin with the partners intend to analyse the training needs emerging in this sector by relying on demands for skills made by companies. At the same time, they will carry out a survey on the distance training aids already developed. They will select the most effective in order to meet the training needs detected. A training system will therefore be developed which will be assessed in a target group and readjusted if necessary. Dissemination is then planned in order to use the products of the project as widely as possible.
PRODUCTS
The project intends to create an on-line data processing system linked by computer network to the training centre. It will also produce interactive educational software which will be incorporated into the network and will introduce training in the new information technologies. Furthermore, two surveys will be carried out, one on the analysis of needs for skills in the industrial sector and one on career plans in the same sector.
