Objective
OBJECTIVES
Young workers often have accidents at work. Directive 83/391 on working conditions drawn up by the Commission must be adhered to by all Member States of the EU. Application of it varies considerably from one Member State to the next. This is why this project intends to develop a communications network and improve the level of the work force's qualifications by complying with the Commission's Directive. In fact, it is important that workers acquire the ability to assess risks incurred at the work place and that they are able to be part of a communications network distributing good practices on this matter. To do this, the partners will provide them with the multimedia tools for managing health and safety measures.
ACTIVITIES
The project will produce a multimedia programme enabling workers to assess risks at work and be actively involved in managing health and safety measures in their company. Methods will then be developed for promoting the use of these aids in a self-training situation. All these aids concerning safety measures at the work place will be incorporated into the vocational training modules which already exist.
PRODUCTS
The project aims to develop a curriculum for trainers, a multimedia tool for workers so that they can assess and manage accident risks at the work place and methods for distributing these tools in the framework of self-training programmes.
