Multimedia for environmental education

Objective

OBJECTIVES
In Europe, there are an increasing number of nature parks and protected geographical areas. The project proposes to organise a training programme that can provide initial training and continuing training for environmental experts, tourist agents, nature park keepers and anyone likely to be interested in the environment. This training programme will be created with the aid of new information technology (CD-ROM, software programmes, etc.), and will also include the various European legislation applicable to the environment.

ACTIVITIES
Firstly, the partners propose to produce a methodology to help define the training needs in this sector. Next, the infrastructure that will be used to create multimedia training tools will be put in place. It is important to become familiar with the creation and use of multimedia tools in vocational training. For this reason, the aim of the project is also to create a methodology relating to the use of these tools. A methodology will then be devised to define what data will have to be collected and how it will have to be entered into the database. Lastly, work will have to be done on the European transfer and validation of the methodologies created in this way.

PRODUCTS
The project will result in methodologies for the creation, use and assessment of multimedia training tools in the field of environmental protection.
