Objective

OBJECTIVES
For some time now, vocational training systems in Europe have been attempting to improve co-operation between training centres and the workplace in order to complete theoretical training with immersion in a working environment in the form of a practice period. The trainee students often have tutor (or mentor/coach) support during their practice period but it has to be said that these tutors have been given no special training to assume their role. This is why the project wants to create specific training courses for tutors working in the business world and to have these training courses validated at a transnational level.

ACTIVITIES
In the first phase, the partners will analyse the tutor support and practice period assessment systems that exist in the various countries involved as project partners. By pooling results, they will identify the persisting gaps which exist in the tutors' training. They will then create specific training modules using innovative training tools and a system for assessing the training provided. These modules will be used to train 600 tutors across the EU. This means the modules can then be adjusted, if necessary, with a view to their transnational validation.

PRODUCTS
- Comparative reports on the partner countries' systems of training with tutor support.
- Training modules for tutors in the business world, with specific training tools.
- A project assessment report and a plan to arrange for the distribution and validation of the modules on a large scale.
