Objective
OBJECTIVES
It is becoming necessary to standardise the vocational qualification levels of welders in order to meet European standards and the needs of industry. The aim of the project is, therefore, to define the different qualification levels for welders, to draw up a recommendation guide containing the vocational training requirements that correspond to each level and also to adapt, at European level, the content of vocational training courses for passing on welding techniques.
ACTIVITIES
First of all, the partners will analyse the welders' training programmes which are already in place in the different countries involved as project partners. By pooling the results of the analysis, they will draw up a recommendation guide for training centres in this area, integrating the various systems, in accordance with the demands set by European standards. After the various project partners have assessed this recommendation guide, it will be translated into the twelve EU languages and widely circulated.
PRODUCTS
- A general vocational training system for welders, validated for initial and continuing vocational training.
