Objective
The social environment of many young Europeans is deteriorating, with poverty and unemployment amongst 16 to 25 year olds on the increase. There is a commensurate rise in disconnection and anti-social behaviour in this age group. This project will therefore develop a social work training module which will draw on the understanding of childcare philosophy and practice in other member states.
The training will cover four areas: classifying the social protection system for minors, social planning, language training, and programmes for the young.
Impact
The training will be used to offer in-service training for workers in the partner associations. It will also be made available to other higher education institutions and workers from other agencies. Young people will benefit from the improvement in the training of staff.
