Telebridge internet course - SMEs between internet and intranet

Objective

The project takes account of the fact that SMEs in peripheral rural areas experience particular problems in accessing new information technologies. For example, the technical outlay associated with using such technology is substantially higher for them, since installation of the relevant network nodes and infrastructure in their regions comes much later than in urban areas. The need for initial and continuing vocational training in this area is therefore correspondingly high.

The courses to be developed within the project for this purpose are designed, in particular, to demonstrate how SMEs can, together or in small networks, make use of the information highway for internal and external communication. The local Internet training planned in companies is new and innovative.

Impact
The course content has been designed in a transparent way and is directed at the needs of SMEs. The design of the project structure appears to be suited to promoting the reasonably priced use of modern information technologies in companies, which is associated with considerable economic advantages for SMEs, in particular.
