Objective
Adaptation of the European viniculture sector must meet EU expectations regarding restoring balance to the market. The project partners propose to design and develop a European system aimed at helping to manage developments in human resources within the sector on a scientific basis, in terms of both progress in qualifications and skills as well as overall changes in employment levels. For this reason, the project has the following objectives:
- to set up a system to monitor developments in skills and employment in the European viniculture sector;
- to design an experimental system to further professional mobility for employees in the viniculture sector;
- to establish the basic elements of an information system on employment in the European viniculture sector, the actual implementation of which will be the subject of a potential further project.
Whilst the project involves developing knowledge of the existing situation as far as possible, it also involves, in particular, setting up a monitoring system for use by companies, trade unions and regional authorities. For this purpose, the project will involve creating an information system with basic tools for the further development of training engineering and provisional management of human resources in various sectoral and regional viniculture operations.
Impact
Adaptation of European viniculture to meet EU expectations regarding a progressive rebalancing of the market. Contribution towards scientific management of developments in human resources in the sector, in terms of qualifications, skills development and overall levels of employment.
