Software quality evaluator

Objective

This project will design and develop a masters degree in software quality evaluation. This is justified by the general need to introduce quality systems and the trend towards adopting ISO standards in most areas. The project will bring education and business organisations together to renew traditional means of education and adapt them for open, flexible, multimedia, interactive and distance learning use.

The partners will analyse training requirements for personnel in charge of software production and purchasing in information technology SMEs. They will then design and develop an intensive short masters course for open and distance learning use in conjunction with the universities involved. This will take the form of a guide containing methods, modules, subject material, a reference bibliography, an evaluation system and an up-dating system. The guide will be made available in paper-form, on floppy disk and on CD-Rom.

Impact
This project will create equal opportunities in new fields of qualification and employment, contributing to the definition of new competences and occupational profiles in evaluation/certification and quality matters.
