Objective
As a result of the introduction of new technology, administrative tasks have been transferred to other people within organisations. Administrative workers (mostly women) are threatened with losing their job.
The aim of this project is to develop a new occupational profile and education programme for the 'multimedia networker' - an up-graded administrative worker who is familiar with innovations in information technology. The multimedia networker will be technologically flexible and able to constantly up-date her knowledge. This will be achieved through the creation of a 'flexpool' of women. The partners in this project will first define the conditions to set up a flexpool that will create flexibility as well as job security and lifelong learning possibilities. Secondly, they will develop the occupational/qualification profile, educational material and a training programme. Thirdly, a pilot will be organised, in which candidates as well as trainers will be recruited and trained.
Impact
The flexpool multimedia networker approach will combine working and learning on the one hand and working and caring on the other.
