Media transfer and function-oriented CVT methods

Objective

Small and medium-sized production companies often do not have suitable methods at their disposal for establishing and rectifying qualification deficiencies on the part of unskilled and semi-skilled employees. The aim of this project is to promote the concept of lifelong learning through improving co-operation between training institutions and companies. The main focus is on further developing an innovative learning medium for the continuing training of unskilled and semi-skilled employees in SMEs. Particular importance is attached to combining instructor-assisted learning activities with self-learning activities in conjunction with the "learning album" medium.

The project partners will explain the "learning album" concept to management personnel in selected SMEs with the help of transfer sessions and workshops as well as adapt the concept in such a way that it can be tested by these companies. The different variations of the medium will then be tested and evaluated. A more extensive multimedia learning-album is to be developed on this basis. The desired result of the project comprises transnational dissemination of the learning-album concept, the provision of various possibilities of using the learning album, as well as developing the concept further into a multimedia learning album in the form of a marketable product for in-company training.

Impact
Through the vocational training of under-qualified employees, this project promotes a development towards lifelong learning in SMEs.
