Objective
In several European countries, the sectoral level is of growing importance for the stimulation and organisation of employees' continuing training. The goals of the project will be to generate insight into the sectoral dimension of national training systems and the structure and functioning of sectoral training systems in SME intensive sectors.
During the project several reports will be drafted. These will include:
- a conceptual framework and methodology for national studies;
- reports on sectoral training policy in five countries;
- reports on specific measures, experience and good practice in selected sectors;
- a final summary report of the whole study.
Impact
The project will contribute to the improvement of a methodology for the analysis of sectoral training systems in international research and to an assessment of the value of a sectoral approach to continuing training policy and research.
