Development of a European system for certification and evaluation of the quality of continuing training

Objective

The partners of this project aim to undertake a joint analysis of possible ways for certifying continuing vocational training in SMEs through the introduction of quality systems. They will define homogenous standards of procedure and will make a comparison of different national systems.

The size of Italian and Greek SMEs will be the starting point for the operational context. The areas to be analysed will be:
- existing training opportunities;
- training needs;
- cultural contexts;
- types and cycles of training;
- instruments and methods (distance learning included);
- planning and programming;
- guidance for entering (or re-entering the labour market);
- and occupational trends.

Impact
Trainers, university professors and SME personnel managers will have an opportunity to benefit from the improved choice in training in quality matters.
