Production assistant training for wood processing industry development

Objective

The motivation for this project is a needs analysis that was carried out in the framework of a European Social Fund Objective 4 project by the Wood Processing Industry Federation. The current aim is to develop a modular training programme on technological changes affecting the automation of the industry.

The training programme will be produced following an exchange of knowledge and data on training needs between the partners. Once tested and improved, the courses will be disseminated at national and European level. The overall package produced will comprise tools for training trainers as well as trainees.

Impact
This project will make a significant contribution to the development of lifelong learning in the wood processing industry. Training organised will be more closely attuned to the needs of companies. Increased industry co-operation will be another outcome of the project.
