Objective
In view of changes in the labour market and companies' needs for competitiveness, self-employment and associated micro-enterprises are a sure source of employment in coming years. The physical dispersion of such companies makes it different to organise support programmes and other services that can reach the self-employed and those working in micro-enterprises. Telematics opportunities provide an ideal means for dealing with this problem. The objective of this project is to design and produce, in multimedia format and for telematic use, support materials to train entrepreneurs.
These will cover a range of different areas, including business evaluation; personnel and management skills; and tutoring for business projects. A pilot trainer training programme will be carried out in Portugal, with local development agents from Portugal and Spain as trainer trainers. The resulting materials will be produced on CD-Rom in Portuguese, Greek, English, Spanish and Italian.
Impact
The package developed by this project will promote the success of new business activities and encourage the introduction of modern management systems and innovative new technologies.
