Objective
The high level of unemployment among young people and an absence of career prospects are having a detrimental effect on their relationship with work. In order to counterbalance this tendency, this project proposes helping young people to create their own employment. To achieve this goal, the partners will provide vocational training centres with the tools necessary to train their students how to set up and manage fledgling companies following the model of the "Coopérative de Travail Associé" (C.T.A.) (association-based work co-operatives).
Training equipment and information regarding the setting up and operating of an association-based work co-operative will be developed and distributed to training and career-guidance professionals. The manual will be presented in comic-book form. It will cover legislation on co-operatives in each of the partner countries and present the innovative aspects of a C.T.A. vis-à-vis a traditional company.
Impact
This project will help young people to enter working life by incorporating self-employment creation tools into their training.
