Business and technical vocational training for the self-employment of unemployed women in charge of families

Objective

The aim of this pilot project is to design, deliver, evaluate and disseminate a training programme to facilitate the self-employment of unemployed women with dependent relatives.

The method of training will be adapted and tailored to the real needs of the target group. Appropriate tools will be developed for the training of such women in self-employment practice and business techniques. They will be designed to enable women to develop and enhance their own existing skills. The direct beneficiaries of the project will be unemployed women in charge of families who are excluded from the labour market and organisations/experts working in the employment training sector.

Impact
The project will increase the role of beneficiaries in the design of training that is appropriate for them and consequently lead to an improvement of current employment training systems in terms of quality and effectiveness.
