Objective
This project is designed to help people who have difficulty in communicating in the language/s needed to take part in transnational projects. It will develop methodological training for foreign language teachers, so that they can:
- up-date their training plans and develop more appropriate course content with regard to the needs of the above-mentioned target group;
- be familiar with ODL, particularly to facilitate the access to lifelong learning.
In addition, the partners intend to develop appropriate ODL methodologies and materials that will enable both teachers and students, and both employed and unemployed young people, to improve their linguistic competence in English, French and German. A number of training modules will be delivered on a trial basis. Foreign language needs, learners' expectations and distance learning potential will be analysed and evaluated with a view to final production of material.
Impact
The training products developed by this project will improve language competence and ultimately increase the ability of individuals to operate in transnational environments.
