Objective
Vacancies for Personal Assistant positions have remained stable in global terms despite recession throughout the European Union. To meet the new expectations of companies operating in the European Free Trade Area, a personal assistant must be able to:
- manage office, computer and telecommunications systems that collect, process, disseminate and store information;
- have a high level of general cultural and business awareness and be familiar with the structures and institutions of the European Union;
- display a recognisable ability to communicate in one or two foreign languages in professional situations.
This multiplier project will make use of the European Personal Assistant Diploma, created in 1994 under the FORCE programme, to fulfil companies' expectations and meet the needs of employees in Germany, the UK and France.
The objective of the project is to:
- transfer the training programmes and the reference, evaluation and certification system used for the Trilingual European Personal Assistant Diploma implemented in France, Germany and the UK to Spain;
- develop new transnational educational tools for training Personal Assistants.
Impact
This project will encourage the promotion, reclassification and re-employment of employees who have worked, are working or wish to perform the functions of a Personal Assistant. It will also enable graduates to gain qualifications that will facilitate their access to employment.
