Objective
The percentage of long-term, unskilled job-seekers is growing. Employment services, employers and training institutes are faced with the shared task of making job seekers more employable. There is a need to improve the ability of disadvantaged individuals to gain access to basic and advanced training courses and to the labour market, in order to prevent social exclusion. By increasing their ability to acquire new skills and to fend for themselves, their socio-economic position can be strengthened and their chances of obtaining permanent employment can be increased.
This project will therefore compile and develop an international toolbox for assessing job seekers' overall potential and for diagnosing key qualifications. It will use a joint methodological framework combining the products, experience and know-how of the different partners. This includes the planning and development of joint diagnostic methods, the adjustment/co-ordination of content, the co-ordination of trainer training programmes and the mutual recognition of capabilities, professional skills, qualifications and evaluation.
Impact
The project will result in improvements and innovations that will boost the intake of job seekers on training courses and their return to the labour market.
