Objective
Initial vocational training in the field of technology needs to be updated. This is particularly the case in the area of air-traffic control, where there is a constant demand for the introduction of ever-more sophisticated and automated tools. This project will therefore:
- identify the skill needs of air-traffic controllers;
- design an automated assessment system for verifying trainees' skills;
- pilot a trainer training module with regard to the assessment system;
- and produce relevant training materials.
The beneficiaries of the training will be teachers, trainers and students in aeronautics schools and vocational training centres. The methodology developed by the partners should be transferable for use in other sectors.
Impact
The system developed by this project will have an impact on the air-traffic control initial training system in the partner countries. It will also have an impact on teaching/learning methodologies, and on learning assessment systems.
