Objective
Rapid change in national, European and world markets, the introduction of industry standards and the increased use of modern computer technologies have forced tourism companies to reorganise their structure and the way they operate. The aim of the project is to develop a computerised multimedia training course for tourist/cultural attraction managers, using video-conferences, video-placements and CD-Roms. The partners will:
- develop co-operation arrangements between public secondary schools and vocational training centres at national and international level;
- exchange information, experiences, and know-how on training methods;
- design and develop occupational profiles for managers of tourist/cultural attractions;
- introduce innovative vocational training techniques and methodologies including a continuous up-dating system for newly trained students.
The multimedia training course will provide trainees with virtual reality aids and three-dimensional processing of images, which will enable them to simulate tourism/cultural attractions such as museums, art exhibitions, cultural-historical tours etc.
Impact
This project will improve the way tourism products and services are planned and marketed with regard to future trends.
