Assistant planner in vocational training

Objective

The emergence of new professions and the need to adapt occupational profiles and skills to new labour market needs pose a considerable challenge for the vocational training world. The management and organisation of training projects has become increasingly innovative and there is an increasing need for people with the knowledge and competence to understand project design and aims, to master information technologies and manage with administrative skill. Assistant training programme managers need special professional skills, and their occupational profile needs to be further clarified. This job is currently being carried out by people who are not always suitably skilled.

The aim of this pilot project is to define the occupational profile of the "assistant planner in vocational training" and to develop a specific training curriculum. The partners will produce appropriate training materials, together with relevant documentation and bibliographies. The profile and training course will be published in various languages and launched at an international conference.

Impact
This project will promote vocational training programme management as an interesting career option and ultimately have an impact on the quality of training itself.
