Objective
Foreigners working in the Italian agrofood industry need to learn specialised Italian language terms. This project will produce a language training course for integration into wider vocational training programmes. A language training module will be developed for self-learning use by beginners. The transnational partners, representing industry, the vocational training sector and international research will all make their respective inputs into the module.
The products will be a book of texts with exercises and answers, a video cassette, and a CD-Rom. It will be possible to use the latter two elements on a stand alone basis in a distance learning context or with assistance from a tutor.
Impact
This project will up-grade the Italian language proficiency of foreign workers in the Italian agrofood industry and will ultimately improve the quality of food products.
