Objective
The advent of new technologies has helped physically disabled people access jobs they could not take on before. The same applies for people with learning difficulties. The aim of this project is to provide people with learning difficulties and/or dyslexia with a tool to improve their vocational training and employment opportunities.
The tool is entirely based on the use of multimedia components. Other modules can be added as and when necessary. The software programme will be produced in English and translated into the 4 languages of the partnership (Italian, Icelandic, Spanish and Swedish). It will include a module for on-line help from trainers comprising PC and database softwares in Windows 3.11 environment and over and will have a special user-friendly interface for the management of data using Paradox and DBIII softwares. Other products will include:
- a data bank of the most important user-friendly software programmes (available on the Internet and floppy disk);
- training modules for people with learning difficulties or dyslexia;
- new professional profiles.
