Work experience programme for youth

Objective

This project aims to set up a network, bringing together industry and secondary schools and training centres, in order to establish a work experience course for 15-18 year olds, as part of an active career counselling programme. It also aims to develop appropriate occupational guidance and counselling tools for careers counsellors.

The outcomes of the pilot project include:
- an integrated methodological tool for career counselling including work experience, in printed and in electronic form;
- a video film on examples of work experience programmes in companies, including interviews with young people from the four participating countries.

Impact
The project will familiarise youngsters with a variety of jobs and careers available in manufacturing companies.
