Self-assessment report template (opens in new window)We will create a template for the selfassessment report under the Task 11
Focus Group meeting minutes (opens in new window)We will compile minutes after every Focus Group meeting planned for M12, M13, M25 and M36.
Impact assessment of Open Access to Alliance4Life facilities (opens in new window)Between M30 and M36, MU will draft a report on the impact of shared use of infrastructures. In particular, new collaborations (publication outputs, joint proposals) will be tracked.
Green Labs best practice (opens in new window)Under their guidance we will review the current situation at partners institutions select best practices and set up recommendations for the Green Lab concept implementation andor improvement Until M18 we will then set up pilot schemes for less and more advanced partners The partners new to the concept will start implementation by inventory of their current practice in plastic use waste disposal equipment use and energy consumption to identify a potential for cutbacks both in terms of quantities and procedures The partners more advanced in the implementation of the concept will follow the recommendation on how to improve their actions and sustain Green Lab strategies
White paper on combining research, teaching, and/or medical practice (opens in new window)Acknowledgement of the role of MD scientist their commitment to research education and medical practice in a balanced manner is frequently hampered by national legislation Thus in M18 we will publish a White paper summarizing the recommendation to overcome obstacles for a combination of professional roles in medicine research vs teaching vs clinic
Report on Research Integrity (opens in new window)Based on the overview of existing internal rules and map of good practices, we will compile a list of recommendations with the aim of setting up an ethical benchmark, including the minimal set of formal measures a research institution should adopt in order to effectively address the main integrity issues in research. “FG2 Research Ethics & Integrity” will propose the list of recommendations for approval by the Board during the meeting in M24. The delivered list will allow the partner institutions to take actions and implement new measures or improve the existing ones. We will collect information on these actions in real-time until M32, and on their basis, we will prepare and publish the final report on the status and good practices of research integrity issues in M36.
Call for Seed Fund (opens in new window)Straight after the matchmaking sessions organized during Mini-Conferences, we will open calls for seed projects (M18, M24, M30). The deliverable will be disseminated in M18, M24 and M30.
Guidelines to address Technology Transfer issues (opens in new window)Between M15 and M20, “FG6 Knowledge and Technology Transfer” members will perform an advertising campaign in their countries to ensure balanced geographical representation of participants across the CEE. Workshop discussions will be collated as D4.2 Guidelines to address Technology Transfer issues in less performing countries (delivered in M34).
Excellence map in Central and Eastern Europe (opens in new window)During M1-6, we will perform bibliometric and grants analysis of Life Science research institutions and individuals in CEE countries. A central person appointed at CEITEC MU, who will collect the data and coordinate with other institutions the mapping processes, will be responsible for this desk research. The database of individuals demonstrating (potential for) scientific excellence will be delivered as D2.1 Excellence map in CEE. The D2.1 will be essential to select participants of Mini-Conferences in Task 2.2.
Call for Open Access to Alliance4Life facilities (opens in new window)In M13 the call for Open Access projects financed by the A4LACTIONS will be published The Open Access budget will be included in the coordinators budget and distributed to partners based on the selected projects The call will be continuous and first come first served if evaluation criteria are fulfilled The call will close when all funds are allocated
Report on Green Labs piloting (opens in new window)Status of implementation of the recommendations will be monitored on M24 through brief interim reports to “FG2 Research Ethics & Integrity”, which will then suggest optimization measures. Final reports from individual partners will be collected in M32 and BMC SAV will assemble them into the conclusive Report of Green Lab Piloting until M36.
Success stories about relation with industry from Alliance4Life and CEE (opens in new window)From M19 to M36, partner institutions will carry out the proposed strategic measures according to their current situation and needs. In M33, the industrial representatives and KTOs will meet and evaluate the experience of project partners with the pilot implementation of measures to support innovation and intersectoral collaboration. We will promote the best-performing and most positively perceived measures in this deliverable.
Summary report on national Trigger Events (opens in new window)In each of the participating countries, two events will be organized to trigger upgrading action among the national communities. We will create a summary report about these events.
Report on advances in career system upgrades (opens in new window)In M18, the implementing institutions will be required to report on how they reflected the recommendations in their career systems. During M31-M36, UZSM will collate feedback on the impact of the new or innovated career systems on institutional performance.
Best practices in career systems in Life Science research (opens in new window)During M1M6 Alliance4Life FG3 Human Resources Mobility will engage in discussion of career systems applied at individual institutions Resulting set of best practice measures proven through operation will be presented to the Alliance4Life Board representing all partner institutions at the meeting in M12 The partners will individually internally discuss how to use the best practice to improve their HR management and in the end their scientific performance
Mini-Conference reports (opens in new window)In M18, M24 and M30, we will organize small scientific conferences for up to 80 participants in Poland, Slovakia and Romania. Topics will match the current programming priorities of Horizon Europe. The reports will be in M18, M24 and M30 after each conference.
Training program for Technology Transfer professionals (opens in new window)Between M7 and M15 LIOS will identify the most appropriate trainers experienced researchers or KTO professionals from Alliance4Life network or other institutions industry representatives industryacademiacollaboration brokering companies for the latter two workshops the full programme including underlying analysis will be collated in D41 delivered in M15
Reflection of evaluation conclusions in institutional strategies (opens in new window)At the end of the project implementation (M36), all partners will draft a report on implementation of recommendations from the peer-evaluation, summarizing the managerial actions taken to reflect the evaluation result in their institutional strategies.
Policy paper on efficiency of WIDESPREAD measures (opens in new window)Between M7 and M18, Alliance4Life “FG4 Grants & Research Funding” will engage with national beneficiaries (including all consortium partners) of Teaming, ERA Chair, and Twinning projects in the Life Science area in structured interviews. First, we will focus on the impact of the projects on the institutions’ perceived position in the European and global R&I communities. Second area of investigation will be implementation aspects, and third is a survey of what is seen as needed by the institutions’ representatives. UT will analyse the interview transcripts for patterns (through quantitative and qualitative data method analysis utilized in social sciences) and present the conclusion in a policy paper until M24.
We will catalogue and sort out trainings piloted during the previous Alliance4Life project until M6. At the Board meeting in M7, leaders of institutions will select trainings from the catalogue of internal consortium knowledge, which will be further developed into modules for the RMA Academy.
Skills Academy resource database (opens in new window)During M1-M6, “FG3 Human Resources & Mobility” will catalogue trainings and lecture at partner institutions focused on transferrable and soft skills.
