New industrial maintenance organisation

Objective

The cross-border European development area is experiencing a period of redevelopment and transition following the slump in the iron and steel industry. New companies have been established, but levels of training among their staff are inadequate. This pilot project aims to train the local population in order to adapt them to new work structures based around ideas of autonomy and cooperation, and improve the handling of the disparities between production operators, specialist maintenance services and managers.

NOMI will provide for the detection of key skills for business, the development of a training methodology and the testing of training modules, geared towards the various types of staff involved in the maintenance of an industrial installation, and carried out in companies and elsewhere. It will also allow the dissemination of the products and methodology to the networks of the various partners and the training of internal and external trainers.

The training products produced will be transferred locally by Avenir-Industries and the international team of European development, and internationally by the individual networks of each partner.

Impact
This pilot project will involve businesses from diverse backgrounds in a joint project, enable the people targeted to move towards a more autonomous work relationship, and help training and research actors to bring the concept of key skills into their various training activities.
