Objective
Savings banks believe that increasing the use of technology in training can only make their staff more autonomous and willing to acquire specialised and general knowledge. Therefore it is important to them to make the content of training more attractive through the use of multimedia as well as to increase the amount of training delivered. The project concerns the introduction of the Euro. It is essential at this stage to smooth the transition period towards the currency through flexible training which will help people to acquire the new skills they need.
The partners will develop an interactive multimedia training platform on CD-ROM (and on the internet) in which various kinds of training content can be integrated. It will include auto-educational scenario(s), exams, tests, CBT modules, a simulation game and a train-the-trainer module. The CD-ROM will be usable on PC terminals in bank agencies with a touch screen or PC workstations (in the office or at home).
Impact
The project will lead to an increased in self-education and learning in the savings banks sector. It will also smooth the passage to the single currency.
