Objective
This project is designed to address the need for analysis of the social realities of businesses and the establishment of positive actions to tackle forms of discrimination between women and men in companies. The aim is therefore to create a module which provides training and awareness-raising on these forms of discrimination valid throughout Europe, and geared towards the staff from organisations representing workers.
The project forms part of a vocational training initiative in five operational parts, which should lead to the adoption of theoretical and methodological tools, and to the promotion of a social dialogue based on policies against sexist discrimination within companies and representative institutions. Led by a steering committee and experts, the project is based on a series of training modules and the coaching of contacts who will be able to disseminate the knowledge acquired.
Cooperation with European partners, together with the production of a summary document reviewing the project's work, will help to publicise the final results, and culminate in the development of scheme to analyse sex discrimination in the workplace.
Impact
Greater awareness amongst staff representatives of sex discrimination in the workplace, through the creation of products which can be transferred to various target groups throughout Europe.
