Objective
New employment and qualification needs have emerged over the past few years within craft businesses, as know-how evolves, production tools change and savoir-être develops. This pilot project is intended for young people with work experience, workers who have acquired skills and qualifications outside the formal system of qualifications, and the managers of craft businesses in a position to define the expected profile of candidates for the jobs or training that they offer. The objectives of ORIENTENTREPRISE will be to develop a special career guidance tool, pilot it, validate it and disseminate it on a CD-ROM and through audio-visual technology such as "Demain", the satellite TV channel devoted to employment.
This pilot project plans to produce up-dated documentation on developments in technology and new regulations coming into force in the craft sector, identify and assess transverse skills, and establish personalised profiles based on motivation and areas of interest. ORIENTENTREPRISE will also assess educational knowledge and vocational skills, define vocational training paths which reflect the demands of employment, and implement a training plan geared towards the ability to develop skills transferable to work.
Impact
This pilot project will offer a new approach to career guidance in the form of a special tool, and will make it easier for the craft business to assess its training capacity.
