Objective
The aim of the project is for the partners to jointly design a combined modular program for employers in very small businesses in handicrafts, trade, and tourism. This will give them the necessary instruments for training their workers in : improving working conditions within the firm in order to present an optimum appearance to the outside world; and promoting personal development and training.
These two areas of instruction will particularly include : working-group development and team--working; dealing with fellow workers; designing plans for continuing education and training; and formulating strategy and implementing know-how for setting reasonable business targets. The acquisition of this know-how will give the workers a company-independent expertise.
The instruments needed for training the workers will be determined during the programme, and will be implemented by individual coaches in individual firms. Groups of participants will participate in evaluating, adapting and optimising the instruments.
Impact
The objective is to train firms to provide continuing training for their workers. This will represent an innovative approach that is entirely realistic for small and medium-sized firms. The counsellors and trainers of the participants will be able to apply this new methodological approach directly in their workplace activities.
