Objective
Education and training systems need to be improved, and new forms of cooperation between different education and training levels need to be developed. Training systems should take more account of the needs and requirements of young people. The social partners, as well as public and private institutions should be involved in the design and development of training. The objective of this project is, therefore, to design and develop an innovative dual training system targeted at young people with low levels of qualification, as well as university students.
To meet the project objectives, the partners will : research and identify innovative experiences; pre-select vocational training centres for piloting dual training systems; study each area's economic and social needs, in order to identify local and regional needs; design training content and methodology; pilot it at the selected centres; and explore ways of accrediting the training.
Impact
The project will help young university and vocational training school students obtain relevant qualifications and improve their job prospects. It will also, ultimately, reinvigorate the education and training systems of the countries involved.
