Libra training management

Objective

The goal of this project is to promote equality of opportunity between men and women regarding access to and participation in vocational training. Particular attention will be given to the needs of people wanting to work in a new professional field and those returning to work after a break in their working life. The target group for the training itself will be women in charge of planning and managing training programmes, and women trainers working in equal opportunity training/employment programmes.

The project will design and develop a new curriculum for training managers, which will enable them to develop training in a non-gender exclusive way. Relevant training material will then be designed and evaluated. The curriculum will include cognitive, procedural and attitudinal aspects.

The products will consist of manuals, guides and a CD-ROM in Spanish. The training method will be based on participation in organised sessions and the use of evaluation tools to assess the performance of the training managers.

Impact
The project will up-grade the skills of women training managers and promote equality of opportunities between men and women.
