Business versus school, school versus business

Objective

As is often the case the business world and the education system seem to head in different directions. This pilot project has two objectives: Firstly, it will encourage systematic co-operation between in-house tutors and elementary vocational training managers. Secondly, it will create joint training modules with these tutors and internship managers in training centres in the electronics, automobile, health and management sectors.

The partners will then present the current state of joint training in each country, after which four work groups will be established and each one will determine common needs in their relevant sector. These groups will present and compare the proposals for modules and co-operation schemes to determine what best suits the particularities of each region. Finally, they will create and test the necessary training materials.

The training programmes and the tools created to apply them will be translated and made available in the languages of each partner country.

Impact
This pilot project will create specific co-operative training networks on a European scale and will harmonise the actions taken by partners. In-house tutors and centre managers will also improve their training skills.
