Objective
The aim of this project is to promote innovation in the careers guidance sector through the development of advanced communication systems and appropriate methods for using them.
During the first part of the project, the partners will study and analyse current careers guidance practices across the European Union, notably with regard to the methods used, the specific tools and the quantitative/qualitative results achieved. In the second part of the project, experts will exchange information on the best practices encountered, and pool their resources in order to develop pilot careers guidance initiatives using advanced communication systems. In parallel to these activities, a network of relevant careers guidance organisations will be developed and linked using the communication system developed. Dissemination activities will be organised for local vocational training organisations in the countries involved.
The main outcome will be a new approach to careers guidance that takes account of the reality of the labour market and the latest data on training and qualification needs. The advanced communication system will be made available to initial vocational training colleges.
Impact
The project will have a qualitative and quantitative impact on careers guidance. It will also improve the mechanisms to match labour market supply and demand.
