Objective
Many young people have only temporary employment. It is important that this - and the periods of alternating training and guidance schemes offered during the employment - does not become the norm. This pilot project aims to formulate proposals for the positive use of regulations concerning temporary employment, with a view to encouraging the long-term insertion of young people into the labour market.
INTERIM will take place over a three year period. It will begin by re-examining and updating the results of the analysis of existing regulations on temporary employment in the different partner countries. It will then carry out an inquiry on the aspirations, professional behaviour and training needs of both young people active in the area of temporary employment and of the temporary employment agencies themselves. The third step will be to devise a systematic concept of the appropriate training and guidance path to be followed. The last step will be to test a joint training model, put together by contractual agents and by temporary employment agents.
The products, in addition to the intermediary and final reports, will be made available on a European scale through an Internet site.
Impact
INTERIM will encourage the long-term insertion of young people into the job market through a short period of temporary employment.
