Objective
The objective of this project is the development of local resources and employment generation, with particular reference to the environment, natural parks and reserves. There is considerable potential for business creation in this area, especially with regard to micro-enterprises, cooperatives, and non-profit making organisations. It aims to develop the entrepreneurial skills of young women with secondary school education.
Following an analysis of resources and needs, the partners will design job profiles concerning entrepreneurship and independent business creation. Six training modules will be developed and validated. Social services skills will provide the basis for a module on the management of children's playgroups and care for the elderly and the disabled. Tourism skills will provide the basis for a module on guided tours of natural, archaeological, historical and cultural areas. Agro-food production and catering skills will provide the basis for a module on organic farming and the preparation and conservation of food and drinks. Economic and business skills will provide the basis for a module on business management (legislation, marketing and financial planning). Advertising skills will provide the basis for a module on publicity campaigns and initiatives to promote environmental awareness.
The expected results are a set of new occupational profiles, the training modules explained above and a business creation model. These will be made available to vocational training institutions in printed and/or electronic-based format.
Impact
The project will promote women's access to training and encourage small business creation in rural areas.
