Objective
Aim is to develop, install, test and demonstrate a VIRTUAL POWER PLANT, consisting of 54 decentralised residential FUEL CELL systems. These RESIDENTIAL CHP'S produce both ELECTRICITY AND HEAT for the individual use as well as electrical energy for the grid. Requirements arising from different GAS COMPOSITIONS, USER BEHAVIOUR, STANDARDS and OPERATIONAL ENVIRONMENTS such as fluctuating grid stability are to be solved to develop a closed-to-market system with high acceptance by the end-users from the beginning. Essential for the ECOLOGICAL and ECONOMICAL BENEFITS for both individual end-users and grid pursuer is the development of a CENTRAL CONTROL SYSTEM, e.g. with POWERLINE communication as integral element of the virtual power plant. Additional TESTS in PORTUGAL and SPAIN are planned to cover South European requirements, i.e. CLlMATISATION.
